Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji has directed the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission officers to arrest Rusinga Ward Member of the County Assembly Michael Ooro over misuse of public funds. Mr.Ooro who doubles up as the majority leader in the Homabay County Assembly and six others are accused of misappropriating 5.4 million meant for the construction of the Kamasengre – Luora and Kamgere – Utajo roads.
Earlier on Ooro had denied the claims stating that the contractor tasked with laying the road had received 3.6 million but never did any work therefore he was not paid the remaining 1.8.
