Drama as a KCSE Candidate collapses in exam room in Murang’a County

Drama unfolded on today morning during the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams when a student collapsed in the exam room after consuming what was described as pills to boost his brains.

The student from Kiranga Secondary School in Kandara, Murang’a County, is said to have begun feeling dizzy as the exam was ongoing and immediately fell from his seat to the ground.

The incident caused panic in the exam room with a team at the school swiftly rushing the unconscious candidate to hospital.

The Deputy principal, Jonathan Kibe informed the police that the student had taken a drug known as Heridol to enhance his brain capacity but unfortunately it backfired.

Kibe divulged that the student hoped the drug would help him perform extremely well in the on-going KCSE exams.

“The student got unconscious and has been rushed to Kandara Sub County Hospital for treatment and he is due to take his examination at the same facility,” Kibe told the police.

Meanwhile, last week on Thursday, two candidates sat their exams from Kilimani Police Station after they were arrested with guns, bhang and an assortment of stolen items.

According to police, the two attacked and robbed a pedestrian in Nairoibi before the third student managed to escape.

Nairobi Police boss Japheth Koome said the three had attacked a pedestrian on November 4 in Jamhuri area and robbed him of his shoes, laptop, mobile phone, assorted clothes and a bottle of perfume.
