The UDA candidate won the by-election garnering 21,773 votes against the jubilee candidate in the stiff contest. Duale said those saying the contest was between the President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto has a stale story saying the contest was from jubilee party. “We have a plan to form a government next year and our vehicle will be UDA, in all those by-elections the competition was between the mother party jubilee part and affiliates party,” he said.
He challenged other parties including Wiper, ODM, ANC and other parties to field candidates in what he said Jubilee strongholds noting that they are only excited on jubilee. “Jubilee is our party and we have realized that it has serious structural party, it is sick, some of the key organs of the party have failed,” he added.The outspoken leader said Jubilee party with failures they can no longer use for a long journey going to the 2022 general election.
The former leader of majority said despite defects of the party they still command the highest number of members both in the senate and national assembly. Duale said UDA is a party formerly PDR that he said several members parliament as well as ward representative.
