Elders in Baringo County have called upon for unity among the Kalenjin ahead of 2022 elections.
Addressing press in Kabarnet, the elders dawned from business and clergy said there was need for the two sons of Rift Valley, Deputy President William Ruto and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi to work together.
The elders lauded the leaders during the burial of Hoseah Kiplagat three weeks ago as the younger Moi said they may work with DP Ruto ahead of 2022 saying there was need for the two to unite.
Joshua Matetai called upon the youth in the region to respect leaders regretting that there has been a trend where leaders are heckled adding that unity will bring tolerance among the community.
Ambrose Kandie condemned the rise of political intolerance among the youth urging respect for all leaders.
