Tea farmers in the country have been encouraged not to lose hope following reduced bonus they received this year.
Speaking at Ragati tea factory in Mathira Constituency, Nyeri County, during a farmers’ annual general meeting, Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) national chairman Peter Kanyago said tea prices have improved from October.
Kanyago urged farmers to utilize fertilizers that the agency offers at low rates pointing out that KTDA fertilizers are selling at sh 1,900 compared to Kshs. 2,500 price of the subsidized ones.
