Machakos Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua is among five people cut-off the Wiper Democratic Movement.
The governor and four Members of parliament were expelled yesterday for allegedly supporting other parties.
“Governor of Machakos County, Dr Alfred Mutua, the Disciplinary Committee finds that his conduct expressly and constructively amounts to publicly advocating for the formation of another political party and promoting the interest, ideology and policies of the Maendeleo Chap Chap – which is not a member of CORD coalition,” read part of the report in part.
Names of those expelled from the party by the party’s disciplinary committee include MPs Regina Ndambuki, John Munuve, Kisoi Munyao, Richard Makenga and Alfred Mutua.
Disciplinary Committee recommended that the members be deemed to have resigned from the party in accordance with Section 14 (5) of the Political Parties Act.
