Forest Guard On The Run After Defiling Teenager

Cops in Tinderet, Nandi County are in pursuit of a Kenya Forest Officer who is reported to have defiled a 16-year-old girl on 18th March 2024.

In the report filed at Meteitei Police Station in Tinderet Sub-County by the victim’s mother, the incident occurred at Kipkurere forest.

The officer identified as Nixon Mwangi is said to have chased away a group of girls from the forest where they were picking fallen wood debris. Mwangi who caught up with the 16-year-old  victim grabbed her and proceeded to drag her to his house where he defiled her.

The officer took to the wind after the deplorable incident leaving the girl behind. The other girls who were in the company of the victim prior to the incident managed to escape and inform the victim’s mother who promptly took action.

She sought help from other Kenya Forest officers who assisted her in tracing Mwangi’s house. Upon their arrival, the victim was rescued and escorted to the hospital for immediate medical attention. The victim was a Form 2 student in a local high school.

The suspect is still at large however, the pursuit is currently underway.
