French forces take down suicide truck before reaching its target

French forces took down a suicide truck that was driven, speeding to the target.

A footage which was posted online shows the suicide vehicle charging towards the camera across a barren land.

Screaming is overheard as gunshots fire towards the vehicle as it heads across the desert.

The car is believed to have been driven by an Islamic State suicide bomber.

A  wire-guided missile fired from an ATGM launcher which missed the truck as opposing forces desperately battle to stop the truck.

Kurdish fighters can be hear panicking and shouting “shoot him, shoot him,” as they are unable to take out the deadly vehicle.

Suddenly, French forces come to the rescue and fire a missile to back up their ally.

The car explodes instantly as the rocket strikes it, sending it up in flames and pouring clouds of smoke into the sky.

The footage comes as Kurdish-led Syrian forces continue to plot to take back Raqqa from ISIS.

Around 30,000 fighters, supported by the US, are attempting to take back the city and civilians have been urged to avoid ‘enemy gatherings’.

A Kurdish-led Syria Democratic Forces spokesman, last week, said: “The fight will not be easy, and will require accurate and careful operations because IS will defend its bastion knowing that the loss of Raqqa will mean it is finished in Syria.”
