Fresh perfume with the scent of Cannabis Sativa

We’re all in search of our signature scent when purchasing perfume.

A new woody and smoky perfume with hints of chestnut, apparently has been released for sale.

But that scent doesn’t work for everybody.

Some people prefer light, floral stuff. Or something a bit fruity.

And some people would really, really like to smell like marijuana. We’re not entirely sure why, considering how much effort teenagers make to mask the lingering scent of weed all over their clothes.*

*Hint: it doesn’t work. The Lynx isn’t helping. Just shower and change.

These weed-scent-lovers don’t just want any old marijuana-y smell, to be clear.

If you really want to commit to smelling like weed, you’ll probably want to emit the scent of a specific strain or type.

So while the concept of marijuana perfume isn’t new, this new brand, selling what it calls the first ever ‘strain-specific’ perfumes, is a big deal.

Xyrena has just unveiled three new unisex perfumes based on three strains: Blue Dream, OG Kush, and Space Cake.

None of the perfumes actually contain cannabis, but have been created to replicate the specific scents of each strain.

OG Kush, for example, has notes of sour lemon and pine with layers of earthy cedar and burnt rubber.

Blue Dream, meanwhile, blends a sweet blueberry aroma with a ‘hint of skunk’, evolving into an earthy pepper scent with a lingering sweetness’. Nice.

Space Cake smells a lot like cake.

If you fancy smelling like one particular strain of weed, or just fancy buying a nice perfume for your mum/coworker/nan, you can buy each scent online for $74.20 (£59.52).

Or could just rub some weed behind your ears. Seems like a great life choice.
