The Garissa county department of health has embarked on a lifestyle disease awareness campaign to sensitize the public on dangerous lifestyle diseases.
Records at the county’s referral facility show a steady increase on the patients diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, cardiovascular diseases and cancer among others.
The county executive for health hon. Ahmednadhir Sheikh called on residents to embrace lifestyle changes through body exercises and routine checkups that will ensure they reduce the chances of contracting.
