Government opens 15 Resource Centers

The Government in a bid to tame high youth unemployment, is relaunching youth empowerment centres across the country. State Department of Culture and Heritage Principal Secretary, Josephta Mukobe explained that the new centres will contribute in imparting skills to the youth.

PS Mukobe stated that the centres will play a critical role in equipping the youth with advance information that will enable them become employers and thus contribute to the taming of the high unemployment rate in the country. She added that the fifteen new centers were set up in line with vision 2030 that sets out Kenya’s path to middle-income economy status.

So far fifteen youth empowerment centers have been opened in various counties in line with Government plans to establish capacity building centers in all the 290 constituencies.
