The ruling administration has reaffirmed its commitment to equitable resource distribution and national development, ensuring that every region benefits from key government initiatives.
President William Ruto, alongside senior government officials, visited Mandera County to assess the progress of ongoing development projects and engage with residents on the government’s transformative agenda.
During the visit, President Ruto and his delegation emphasized the administration’s focus on expanding access to education, improving healthcare services, enhancing infrastructure, and addressing security challenges in North Eastern Kenya.
The government reiterated its determination to eradicate insecurity in the North Eastern region.
“The Government will not relent in its efforts to decisively deal with insecurity in the North Eastern region. Our multi-agency security agents have significantly downgraded the capacity and ability of the terror gangs, bandits and other organized criminals in North Eastern to unleash mayhem on innocent citizens and impoverish them economically,” stated DP Kindiki.
The government is expanding learning infrastructure and recruiting more teachers across North Eastern Kenya.
“We are enhancing infrastructure in learning institutions and recruiting more teachers in the North Eastern region just as we are doing across the country to improve access to education,” President Ruto said.
The President, accompanied by top officials, engaged with students and trainees at Mandera Teachers Training College, Mandera Technical Training Institute, and Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Mandera Campus, underscoring the administration’s commitment to empowering youth through education and skills training.
Additionally, the Kenya Kwanza government continues to invest in infrastructure projects to stimulate economic growth.
The administration is advancing plans to connect more households to electricity, establish digital hubs in all 1,450 wards, and construct modern markets to create a conducive business environment for traders and consumers.
Leaders present included Governors Mohamed Adan Khalif (Mandera) and Mohamud Ali (Marsabit), Cabinet Secretaries Aden Duale (Environment) and Eric Mugaa (Water), Members of Parliament, and Members of County Assemblies.
Addressing residents at Moi Stadium, Mandera County, President Ruto reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to delivering meaningful development across the country.
