Several government officials today met the KQ employees representatives, to discuss solutions to the impending strike as a way of ensuring lesser loss after KQ reportedly incurred over Ksh 200 Million over canceled and delayed flights.
The government officials met with Kenya Airways (KQ) management and their union today to resolve the stalemate between the airline and the pilots.
The meeting comes as Kenya Airways aviators allied to the Kenya Airline Pilots Association (KALPA) vowed to go through with their strike planned for Tuesday.
Chief Executive Officer, Mbuvi Ngunze and Chairman Denis Awori, are expected to exit the airline, in an effort to avert the planned strike.
