Harambee Starlets have suffered a horrific defeat to Real Betis women yesterday after the Kenyan girls were thrashed 2-0.

Starlets had been able to keep the unbeaten run in the six-day tournament finishing first in their group A.
The first half ended in a barren draw with both teams missing key opportunities. However, the Starlets could not contain Betis’ pressure as they got beaten 2-0.
Starlets began the campaign by beating Benfica 3-0 with Akida scoring a deserved hat-trick. In their second match, Akida got a brace as Starlets thrashed Espanyol 3-1 making her the top scorer in the competition with 5 goals.
