Chelsea will play Arsenal in the Europa League final set to be staged at the Baku Olympic stadium in Azerbaijan on Wednesday 29th May 2019.

The Blues secured their Europa final slot courtesy of a 4-3 win on post-match penalties over German side Frankfurt at the Stamford Bridge. Eden Hazard scored the winning penalty as goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga made two saves to hand the Blues the advantage.

At the Mestalla Stadium in Spain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s hat trick gifted arsenal 4-2 win to qualify for the final with a 7-3 aggregate.

It will be the first time an all English affair is happening in Europe’s top two competitions.

Arsenal could miss the services of their Armenian midfielder  Henrikh Mkhitaryan the Europa League final against Chelsea due to ongoing diplomatic tensions between his native country Armenia and host country Azerbaijan.
