Hunt On For Trafficker Who Escaped Police Leaving Ksh2.5 Million Worth Of Cannabis

Authorities are actively searching for a trafficker who eluded police capture, leaving behind cannabis valued at Sh2.5 million.

Detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit, based at Malindi Police Station, are on the trail of Morris Ware, who escaped during a significant drug seizure.

“In efforts to counter trafficking in narcotics, detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit stationed at Malindi Police Station are actively pursuing Morris Ware, a trafficker who managed to evade capture, in a Sh2.5 million cannabis seizure,” stated the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)  on X.

According to The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), following community reports regarding the suspect’s illicit activities, law enforcement raided his premises in Midodoni village.

Unfortunately, after noticing the officers had left his store unguarded, the suspect managed to flee.

During the operation, officers discovered 86 kilograms of bhang concealed in four sacks, with an estimated street value of Sh2.5 million.

The seized narcotics have been secured at Malindi Police Station as evidence while the search for the trafficker continues.

“The recovered narcotics were taken to Malindi Police Station for safe custody as exhibits as the search for the elusive trafficker continues,” the DCI revealed.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations encourages the public to provide information about any suspicious individuals or activities to help maintain a safe and drug-free environment for all citizens.
