The leader of the Majority in parliament Kimani Ichun’wah, slammed  DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa for rejecting the Nadco report.

Speaking in Uasin Gishu county, Ichung’wah accused Wamalwa of being a hypocrite for rejecting the report at the last minute yet he had been present throughout the discussions between the opposition and the government team elected to make amendments to the report.

He additionally alleged that Wamalwa’s refusal to sign the report was under the directive of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Tunajua kuna mwenye amekutuma,” said Ichung’wah.

Furthermore, he stated that the report would be implemented in the letter. He affirmed,” NADCO implementation shall continue unhindered, with or without your signature. With the liking of Uhuru Kenyatta or without his liking, Kenya shall be a peaceful nation.”

Wamalwa had refused to endorse the report citing the glaring omission of the critical issue of lowering the cost of living. He further argued that the Report had prioritized issues pertinent to the political class leaving out issues affecting the common mwananchi.

He also accused the Kenya Kwanza team of lacking goodwill and failing to commit to making life bearable for Kenyans. The report had been signed by 9 out of ten members of the members of the National Dialogue Report Committee.

The report was then presented to opposition leader Raila Odinga in his Capital Hill office and to the President in State House.
