Carrying “Chiloba Must Go” banners, the coalition supporters matched in protest demanding reforms in the IEBC ahead of the presidential re-run. The protesters in Kisumu matched to IEBC offices.
NASA had called for national protests after the coalition irreducible demands were not met in full by IEBC.
They demanded the resignation of the commission’s top officials, including Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba.
They accused Mr Chiloba and his group of conspiring to interfere with last month’s presidential election that was quashed by the Supreme Court.
On the other hand, IEBC wrote to the coalition requesting them to call-off the demos and proceed to a consultative meeting between the coalition, IEBC , and Jubilee party scheduled for Wednesday.
