I&M Bank of Kenya appoints Kihara Maina as the new CEO

Kihara Maina, will be taking over from the outgoing I&M Bank Kenya Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arun Mathur who is proceeding on retire as the CEO but assuming an advisory role within the I&M Bank Group.

Maina is an Executive Master of Business Administration Degree Holder from University of Chicago – Booth School of Business, and also a BSc Mathematics Degree Holder from Moi University.

His appointment was announced today by Sarit Raja-Shah, who noted that the CEO will take over the role with immediate effect. According to Sarit, the bank is geared to strengthening and deepening human resource capacity.

It is my expectation that we will continue to see even greater growth in the years ahead,” Maina said.

On the other hand, Shah acknowledged the retiring CEO Mathur for his outstanding and long service to the Group.  Mathur was however retained within the management of I&M Bank as he assumed advisory role within the I&M Bank Group
