Hollywood celebrities Jennifer Lopez, 55, and her husband Ben Affleck, 52, widely recognized as “Bennifer” on social media platforms, are reportedly heading towards a divorce just two years after their marriage.

Sources reveal that Lopez filed for divorce at the Los Angeles County Supreme Court earlier this week.

The couple initially tied the knot in Las Vegas and later celebrated a lavish wedding in August 2022 at Affleck’s expansive 87-acre estate near Savannah, Georgia.

Their relationship began in 2003 on a film set, but they ended their engagement in 2004, maintaining a friendship until rekindling their romance two decades later, culminating in their marriage in 2022.

According to BBC, both parties are expected to disclose their financial situations and notify the court of any changes before the annulment of their marriage.

Speculation regarding their separation has circulated online, particularly after it was revealed that they had listed their Beverly Hills residence for sale and had been frequently seen without their wedding rings.

Jennifer Lopez, a renowned Latin American actress, singer, and dancer, has been married three times before her union with Affleck.

Her first marriage was to Cuban-born waiter Ojani Noa, which ended in 1998. She then married her former backup dancer Chris Judd, but they separated in 2003. Lopez’s third marriage was to Marc Anthony, a four-time Grammy Award-winning artist, in 2004, which also ended in separation the same year, resulting in the birth of twins.

Ben Affleck was previously married to actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 until their public separation in 2015, with their divorce finalized in 2018, and they share three children.
