Joseph Irungu, the first accused in the murder case of Monica Kimani has been denied bail.
In his ruling, Judge James Wakiaga ruled that Irungu, alias Jowie is a flight risk and has access to guns which can intimidate witnesses. Further, Judge Wakiaga described the first accused as a male version of a ‘slay queen’ or a ‘woman eater’ for lack of a better word.
The second accused, Jacque Maribe has however been granted bail albeit with a raft of rules to adhere to which include not being allowed to read the news.
The Citizen Tv journalist was released on a Sh2 million bond and Sh1mn cash bail in Monica murder case.
