It was joy and celebration at Cheplel, Kenegut location, Ainamoi sub-county in Kericho County when a man who has been missing for 14 years was received back home.
Samson Koech, who is now 75 years old, went missing from the night of 14th December 2004 after being mentally disturbed.
His brother, Sammy Koech, who is also chief of Kenegut location, pointed out that before Samson went missing, he was under care and medication as he had started to be mentally ill.
He said that he was found by her daughter last Friday after many years when she went to deliver at Maraba sub-county hospital in Nandi county, where she is married.
It was found out that Samson had been admitted at the hospital for two years after he felt ill.
The family lauded the hospital for taking care of the man for two years despite not knowing his relatives.
They also found out than the man worked as casual laborer in different counties before he felt ill and admitted at hospital.
