Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) boss Kagwira Mbogori while releasing a report on party primaries said that the elections were marred with malpractices.
Mbogori, who was speaking on the party primaries Kagwira Mbogori termed them ‘shambolic’ as they were marred with massive electoral malpractices.
According to the commission report, bribery, manipulation of voters’ lists, missing names, insufficient voting materials, inadequate security and misuse of public resources ruled the day
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) was reported as the party leading in cases of violence witnessed in nomination exercise with 53% followed by Jubilee at 35%.
On the other hand, cases of bribery were highly witnessed in Jubilee with 59% while ODM comes second with 25%.
Mbogori further urged the DPP to investigate 20 candidates on cases of malpractices and if found guilty bar them from August elections
