The Jubilee Party has exuded confidence of sweeping a majority of elective seats in Embu and the entire Mt. Kenya Region in the upcoming August polls.
Party grass root leaders led by County Coordinator Emilio Kathuri said Jubilee was still the party to beat in the Region especially now that it had received a fresh burst of energy following its relaunch last month during its National Delegates Conference (NDC).
Speaking during the unveiling of the new look Jubilee Party in Embu Town on Wednesday in Embu Town, Kathuri said the party still enjoyed massive support and following in the region despite the wrangles that have rocked it from within.
Since the relaunch that saw leadership changes, the party has attracted a huge number of aspirants in the county majority of who are defectors from other parties.
“The changes have attracted numerous aspirants to the party and we have no doubt that it will be part and parcel of the next government,” Kathuri said.
He said they will mount a spirited campaign to reenergize the party even as he assured candidates of fair and credible nominations next month.
Kirimari Ward MCA Morris Nyaga who is eyeing Manyatta Constituency seat called on voters to focus more on individual candidates and their track record and not parties.
