Jubilee party merger date nears

Few days remain towards the official launch of the New Jubilee party that president Uhuru Kenyatta with his Deputy William Ruto expects to seek office re-election with parties already warming up for exercise, the merger.

Thirteen political parties are expected to dismantle and join Jubilee Party that is set for launch on Saturday, September 9.

The individual parties will hold separate National Delegates Conferences (NDCs) to adopt their dissolution decisions ahead of the Jubilee Party national convention.

The president is also expected to lead a meeting with party heads to iron out on the process with the grant event expected on 9th at Kasarani.

The over 10,000 delegates who will attend the launch of the Jubilee Party will start trooping to Nairobi on Wednesday ahead of the highly publicised three-day event.

Of all the parties, TNA will have the highest number of delegates at 1,650, URP (1,000), APK (620), and UDF 600
