Junet and Bosire arrested over hate speech.

Shortly after attending AmLive at Nation Television (NTV) today early in the morning, Junet Mohamed was arrested over hate speech allegations outside the Nation Center offices.

On the other hand, Kitutu Masaba, Member of Parliament Hon Timothy Bosire was arrested while at his home in Karen by flying squad over his earlier statements.

This comes barely two days after Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria was accused of his remarks through video clip that has been surfacing through the internet calling for assassination of Raila Odinga, something he refuted saying that he was misquoted.

Other prominent leaders under investigations over inciting comments include Bahati Mp Kimani Ngunjuri who is said to have called for immediate eviction of certain tribe and Ferdinand Waititu and Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama,

Bosire and Junet were taken for grilling at the Crimina Investigation Department headquarters.

Adding to the list of over hate speech summoning is Kilifi Women representative Aisha Jumwa who is also said to have been summoned for grilling.

The cases of hate speech have recently increased with Kenyans blaming “big-fish escape mechanism” with minor people comments arrested and jailed.

Churches and other bodies in Kenya have called upon the government to inflict to the culprits a serous punishment that will make others shun such behaviors.
