Kabianga’s Sub-chief Apprehended For Defiling a Minor

The assistant chief of Kabianga Sub-location, Douglaus Koech Kipkemoi, 42, has been arrested by detectives from Kuresoi North Sub-county.

Douglas has been arrested for allegedly defiling a minor in the Kabianga area of Londiani Sub-County.

“Detectives based at Kuresoi North sub-County have apprehended Douglas Koech Kipkemoi 42, the assistant chief Kabianga Sub-Location who is accused of defiling a minor in Kabianga area of Londiani Sub-County,” wrote the Detectives of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on X.

According to DCI, the apprehension followed a distressing report from the parents of a 4-year-old child who had complained of intense pain while urinating, prompting her parents to conduct a thorough investigation.

To their dismay, she disclosed that she had been sexually assaulted by the suspect, leading the parents to promptly rush her to Londiani Sub-County Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

“To their horror, she revealed that she had been defiled by the suspect prompting the parents to immediately take her to Londiani Sub-County Hospital for medical examination and treatment,” the DCI revealed.

Following the report, an investigation was launched which resulted in the arrest of the accused.

Koech has since been charged and is presently detained at Milimani GK Prison in Nakuru.

The case is scheduled for hearing on 25 July 2024.
