Kalonzo Muyoka expressed his extreme confidence in the capabilities and discernment of young people partaking in politics, particularly the youth from the Mount Kenya region.
“I believe in the leadership of the young people,” Kalonzo declared while emphasizing the critical role that youth play in shaping the future of their community.
He praised the unity and sense of purpose among the Mount Kenya youth, stating that the Mount Kenya youths are united with a purpose and are in a position to distinguish between the good and the bad.
The youth, according to him, possess the clarity to identify attempts by certain political factions to manipulate their community through divisive tactics.
Highlighting a recent political trend, he pointed out a peculiar strategy aimed at creating division within the Mount Kenya community.
“The youth can spot the distractive strategy that is being driven by this peculiar leadership trying to divide their community into East and West,” he stated.
This unity among the Mount Kenya youth, combined with their political awareness, positions them as key players in resisting divisive leadership and driving meaningful change in the region.
He added that such politicians and leaders needed to be held accountable for any attempts to create unnecessary divisions within the community.
Young people, in particular, were asked to stay vigilant and informed to recognize and resist divisive tactics aimed at splitting them into factions.
Promoting unity would require collaboration, respect for diversity, and a shared vision for the future.
Empowering young people to lead this movement would ensure sustainability and strength in overcoming challenges as a nation
These remarks underscored a belief in the youth’s power to safeguard the future of the Mount Kenya community and reject any attempts to fragment it along artificial lines.
