In efforts to strengthen Kenya and Azerbaijan bilateral relations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, H.E. Bayramov Jeyhun, officially inaugurated the new Embassy of Azerbaijan in Nairobi.
This event marked a significant milestone in the deepening of diplomatic, economic and cultural ties between the two nations.
According to Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi, the opening of Azerbaijan’s mission in Kenya symbolizes a strong commitment to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors and to foster closer dialogue between Baku and Nairobi.
“The opening of this mission marks a significant milestone in deepening the ties between Kenya and Azerbaijan, laying the groundwork for stronger dialogue, increased cooperation, and more meaningful engagement between our nations,” stated PCS Mudavadi.
During the ceremony and subsequent bilateral discussions, both delegations reiterated their shared ambitions to drive inclusive economic progress, explore fresh avenues for collaboration, and address common global and regional challenges.
Key areas of discussion included trade, investment, tourism, education, environmental sustainability, and people-to-people exchange.
Minister Bayramov commended Kenya’s hospitable and supportive environment for foreign missions, highlighting the country’s role as a regional hub for diplomacy and development.
He expressed confidence that the embassy would serve as a catalyst for more dynamic cooperation and practical partnerships.
Kenya reaffirmed its readiness to continue engaging meaningfully with Azerbaijan in pursuit of mutual prosperity, global peace, and shared development goals.
However, the new diplomatic presence is expected to unlock new opportunities for collaboration and further solidify the warm relations between the two countries.
