The Government today officially dispatched a number of Kenya’s Ambassadors and High Commissioners to their respective diplomatic postings, marking a significant moment in the country’s foreign policy and development agenda.
“There is no greater honour in public service than the duty to represent one’s country at the international stage,” stated President Ruto.
According to President William Ruto, the newly appointed diplomats carry with them the hopes, values and aspirations of the Kenyan people.
Additionally, they have been entrusted with the solemn responsibility of strengthening Kenya’s global presence, safeguarding national interests and promoting mutually beneficial relations with host countries.
“The diplomats carry with them the hopes, values, and aspirations of our nation. They have an express mandate to foster mutually beneficial relations, safeguard our national interest, and faithfully represent the people of Kenya with dedication and steadfast commitment,” added President Ruto.
In addressing the envoys, the Government underscored their express mandate to advance Kenya’s priorities through outcomes-driven economic diplomacy, anchored in the country’s new development roadmap.
Central to this approach is the transformation of Kenya into a first-world economy through strategic instruments such as the National Infrastructure Fund and the Sovereign Wealth Fund.
The ambassadors and high commissioners were tasked with actively pursuing strategic trade, investment and partnership opportunities that align with Kenya’s development agenda.
The diplomats were urged to represent the country with integrity, professionalism and steadfast commitment, while projecting Kenya as a stable, reliable and forward-looking partner on the global stage.
