Kenya Highlands University calls out CUE over ‘unapproved courses’

Kenya Highlands University has accused the Commission of University Education (CUE) over unapproved courses as irresponsible and insensitive.

The University Chancellor Professor Wilson Langat said it is unfortunate that the commission listed their university as offering seven unapproved courses yet they did presentation and it was evaluated by the same commission.

Professor Langat pointed out that they were shocked by the remarks by the commission CEO yet they they followed all the required processes for approval, adding that it’s the commission’s mistake not to have added the seven courses being offered at the university in their list of accredited courses.

He called on the commission to give clear instructions to the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service to include the courses in the pothole.

Te University student chairman David Nyamai accused the commission questioning why they are sponsoring them yet at the same time saying their courses are not accredited.
