President William Ruto has laid a foundation stone for the China–Kenya International Commerce Centre, a Sh5 billion mixed-use development at the Jamhuri Showground in Nairobi.
The investment spanning over 68,000 square metres, is a resounding vote of confidence in Kenya’s economy.
“Laid the foundation stone for the China–Kenya International Commerce Centre; a landmark mixed-use development project at the Jamhuri Showground in Nairobi,” noted President Ruto.
“This Sh5 billion investment, spanning more than 68,000 square metres, is a resounding vote of confidence in Kenya’s economy a stable, predictable environment that rewards enterprise and guarantees fair returns to investors,” stated President.
The development will feature a world-class exhibition and trade centre as well as creating job opportunities.
“The project will house a world-class exhibition and trade centre, a five-star hotel, and other modern facilities and will directly create 3,000 jobs for our people,” added the President.
The launch of the project underscores Kenya’s commitment to the commercial transformation of our ASK facilities, turning underutilised government assets into engines of growth.
