Criminal activities across the country have drastically reduced since Jubilee government came into power in 2013. This is after the Government restructured the former provincial administration and improved the administrators’ welfare.
Speaking in Machakos County today, Interior and Coordination of National Government Principal Secretary Dr Karanja Kibicho associated the improved security situation to a well-coordinated system within the government.
“Terrorism, drug trafficking, cattle rustling and radicalisation has been reduced, thanks to the current security structures,” he said.
The PS said the government has allocated billions of shillings to cater for both the security equipment and the personnel’s welfare.
Dr Kibicho who was leading a team of top government officials in preparation of Mashujaa Day celebrations stated that the security being experienced will create a conducive environment for investments in the country.
He assured members of the public who will attend the 54th Mashujaa Day celebrations of maximum security and entertainment space. He said CCTV cameras have been mounted around Machakos town to enhance security
