Kenya has reaffirmed its dedication to fostering peace and stability across Africa by leveraging its expertise, skills, and resources to resolve complex conflicts.
In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the East African Community (EAC) and the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) are working together to promote stability.
Kenya fully supports the resolutions of the Joint Summit of the EAC-SADC and the African Union Peace and Security Council, emphasizing that dialogue among the parties remains the most viable path to resolving the current crisis.
“We fully support the resolutions of the Joint Summit of the EAC-SADC and the African Union Peace and Security Council that dialogue among the parties is the way out of the current crisis,” President Ruto.
As part of its ongoing diplomatic engagements, Kenya recently hosted European Union Special Envoy to the Great Lakes Region, Johan Borgstam, and European Union Ambassador to Kenya, Henriette Geiger, at State House Kenya in Nairobi.
The discussions focused on collaborative strategies to enhance peace-building efforts and drive sustainable solutions to conflicts within the region.
Kenya continues to play a pivotal role in mediating disputes, reinforcing regional cooperation, and working closely with international partners to promote lasting peace across the continent.
