Kenya is set to host the East Africa Regional Global Health Security Summit (EARGHSS) 2025, a premier event dedicated to addressing emerging health challenges and strengthening regional health systems.
In preparation for the event, Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, convened with representatives from Nebraska University and Vision 2030 to review logistical and strategic plans.
The discussions focused on aligning objectives to ensure the summit sets a benchmark in fostering innovation, preparedness, and collaboration.
“This summit reflects the strength of partnerships in advancing health security. Together, we are shaping a future built on preparedness, innovation, and collaboration to protect the well-being of all,” said Ms. Muthoni.
According to the Ministry of Health (MOH)), the summit will bring together stakeholders from across East Africa and beyond to collaborate on transformative solutions for global health security.
The summit underscores East Africa’s critical role in advancing health security by leveraging the region’s strategic position, burgeoning infrastructure, and dynamic health initiatives.

With a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and resilience, EARGHSS 2025 aims to enhance regional preparedness for future health challenges while supporting sustainable development goals.
As Kenya leads the charge, this event will highlight the region’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships and implementing actionable strategies to safeguard communities against emerging health threats.
