Drug abuse is a common vice at the Kenyan coast. Many people, especially the youth, have fallen into the bottomless pit with barely no one to their redemption. However, a Mombasa-based R&B (bongo fleva) ensemble is working hard to change the worrying situation at the coast.

“We’ve been spending a lot of time and talking with such people in an effort to show them that their energies can be utilised in constructive engagements other than in drugs.”Our efforts are showing results as many of these youths have shunned the vice.”
