Kenyans React After Miguna Miguna Rubbishes Sheng

The aspiring Nairobi Governor,Miguna Miguna on Wednesday found himself on the spot after he seemingly rubbished Nairobi’s popular lingo Sheng.

The Canadian-based lawyer was challenged on social media by activist Boniface Mwangi to learn Sheng in order to relate with Nairobians well, a suggestion that Miguna immediately dismissed.

Mr Miguna noted that he was not vying for the Nairobi top seat to tolerate a city that is mixed up with Sheng and other ethnic languages.

“I’m going to develop Nairobi into a Prosperous First Class City; not a hodgepodge for Sheng & other ethnic languages,” Miguna said.

Miguna, who boasts a good command of the English language, has been on record telling Nairobi Senator  Mike Sonko that he cannot be a Governor in Sheng.

The political analyst was advised to change his stand on Sheng as it was the only language Nairobians understood best. Others encouraged him to take classes for the same just like former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga.

At the same time, some netizens indicated that he had lost a lot of votes following his contentious remark.
