Kenyatta University has once again been ranked the top institution of higher learning, earning global recognition in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026.
The University achieved an overall score of 10.3–27.2, securing a world ranking of 1501+ out of 2,191 institutions and maintaining its No. 1 position nationally for the second consecutive year.
With a national ranking of 1/2, Kenyatta University continues to lead Kenya’s higher education sector reassuring its commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation and service to society.
The recognition reflects the University’s sustained investment in research capacity, high-quality teaching, and strategic global partnerships.
Kenyatta University showcased remarkable strength in the International Outlook pillar, where it ranked 712 globally.
This performance underscores the University’s dedication to fostering a vibrant and diverse academic environment through international collaborations, co-authored research, and initiatives to attract global scholars and students.
