Key female educationists decry boy child neglect, call for action.

Key female educationists in the country are concerned about the well being of the boy-child.  At the moment, there is so much focus on the girl-child at the expense of the boy child who now suffers from low self esteem.

Former Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor, Professor Olive Mugenda and Kiambu Teachers Service Commission director, Madam Regina regretted that boy child is now an endangered species. The two spoke at Thika High School during a prize giving day. They noted that it was time for men to wake up and take charge.

They proposed rolling out gender-based programs with a focus on creating equal opportunities for boys and girls and emphasized that equality could harmonize the current blunder.

Prof Mugenda challenged the boy child to remain strong and not lose focus. She called on young male scholars to better their entrepreneurial skills  to boost their lives and economy of the country.  She also advised young people to concentrate on entrepreneurship and the equally lucrative technical field.
