Kilimall has opened a third subsidiary in Nigeria as part of its Africa expansion plans.
The Kenya-based online retailer started its operations two years ago.
After positive impact in the market, it was later launched in Uganda in May before its latest venture in West Africa.
Kilimall international regional marketing director Larry Liu said the Uganda office has picked well prompting further expansion into Africa.
“We realised that there is a high demand for various products by Nigerians and went in to fill that gap,” Liu said.
“Since May, visits to the Kilimall website in Uganda have grown to 500 orders per day.”
The retailer has been facing stiff competition from Jumia which also has its own branches in Nigeria, India among other countries.
