Kisii county based Youth trainers under the National Industrial Training Authority(NITA) have threatened to withdrawal services due non-payment stipends.
The trainers referred to as Master Craftsmen have allegedly gone without the dues for eight months, accused ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for breach the agreement.
Speaking at Suneka township the trainers further claimed the ministry was not honest in addressing their plight following several unfulfilled pro promises. A trainer said the ministry indicated that funds had been released only for it to turn out to be untrue.
James Oroo lamented their business premises had been shut down for lack of rent payment yet they were fully preoccupied with the training.
Dickens Marube complained that the craftsmen teaching materials had been exhausted and could not be replenished because the stipends were not forth coming.
