Kitui county assembly leadership has denounced a section of 15 MCAs who led a delegation of 600 Kitui locals to visit DP William Ruto, at his home in Karen Nairobi. The leaders, led by Kitui speaker George Ndoto , said those MCAs were representing their own interests and not county assembly’s interest.
Most of the members who had attended the deputy president’s visit were from NARC party and are likely to be punished by the party for defying the party’s constitution.
According to the minority leader Alex Ng’ang’a, the MCAs are not supposed to enjoy the benefits of the party by seating in the assembly’s committees and action will be taken on them.
On the other hand, Kwavonza MCA John Kisangau, who was amongst the delegation, said they didn’t break any party’s rule by visiting the deputy president.
