KNCCI WANTS THE PRESIDENT TO REVIEW THE COVID 19 PROTOCOLS

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry now wants president Uhuru Kenyatta to provide guidelines on the implementation of the recently announced austerity measures aimed at curbing the spread of corona.

Machakos county KNCCI branch chair Mutavi Kithu says the economy will continue to be on the receiving end saying the President did not stipulate the exact timeline regarding the lock down and cessation of movement in and out of the counties of Machakos, Kiambu, Kajiado, Nairobi and Nakuru.

The chamber now fears that more than 100,000 people are on the blink of losing their jobs due to corona. The members are at the same time pleading with president Uhuru Kenyatta to at least review the covid-19 protocols which they say will help in redeeming the common mwananchi from the jaws of the hard economic times triggered by the pandemic.
