Law Student Sues Examination Council Over Extra Questions In Exam

Nyambira Oguta,a law student from Kenya School of law  appeared at High Court to sue the Council of Legal Education for adding extra questions in the examination papers.

He divulged that the council added questions without increasing time at the final paper offered at the Kenya School of law in August 2016.

The law student claimed that increasing the questions was unlawful and a breach of the legitimate expectation that caught them by surprise.

According to Oguta, students at KSL tackle 4 questions but the structure was changed after they were compelled to tackle 5 in all 9 subjects they sat for.

Ogutu argued that since the examination guide did not recommend that questions be added, he now wants the High Court to quash the new formula and retain the old system of four questions.
