Maendeleo Chap Chap’s withdrawal from the by-election was a tactical move, say Dr Mutua. Maendeleo Chap Chap’s party leader Dr. Alfred Mutua has said his party will be fully involved in the 2022 elections.
He said the decision by his party to withdraw their senatorial candidate was a tactical move to enable the party consolidate its support and refocus their energy on the presidential election to be held in 2022.
Mutua said the party decided to move back a few steps so that it can “jump a bigger hurdle.” He spoke at Mathathani Primary school where he cast his vote in today’s senatorial by-election.
