Education CS prof. George Magoha has assured Kisii county schools that they will soon receive infrastructural funds in an equitable manner.
Inspecting the on-going training on new curriculum at Chogoo primary in the outskirts of Kisii town,the CS disclosed that sh. 1.5 billiion was ready for disbursement to needy schools for learning faciliies provision.
He, however, clarified that although the funds will be distributed fairly, the aspect of affirmative will also be considered.
Magoha commended the training team on the competance based curriculum saying they were committed to empowering teachers deliver effectively.
The CS also lauded the teachers for their dedication to the profession and urged them to embrace change while molding the learners.
According to him,changes in the educatiion sector were for the larger good of the country and should be supported.
Magoha’s remarks came amid pockets of opposition from KNUT against the training in some parts of the country.
