Man arrested with over 50 kg of ivory task

A suspect was arrested todat at Kitui County, Mutumo in possession of 57Kg of ivory tusk after police received public tip.

The suspected ivory trader, John Muli Kavuva, was caught with seven pieces of tusks with a Sh3.5 million street value by police.
Undercover detectives who were posing as interested buyers approached Kivuva and offered to purchase ov all what he had at Ilamba trading centre.
The suspect was taken to Mutomo police cells where he is currently being held as the police conclude their investigations.

The fight against the illegal business has been highly condemned in Kenya as it posses a great threat for the wildlife.
