Mohammed Salah has made Premier League history after being named the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Player of the Season for the third time, becoming the only player to win the award on three occasions.
The Professional Footballers’ Association Men’s Players’ Player of the Year is an annual award given to the player who is adjudged to have been the best of the year in English football.
The Liverpool forward, who has been central to the club’s success in recent years, received the recognition after another standout campaign. Salah has consistently delivered for the Reds since joining in 2017, establishing himself as one of the most reliable attackers in English football.
After collecting the award, Salah emphasized that while personal accolades are special, winning trophies with the team remains his priority.
“This very special award hits different when we have an important trophy to go along with it. Being champions is what matters and we will fight to do it again this season. I am incredibly grateful to the players who voted for me,” he said.
Salah’s win highlights both his individual quality and the respect he commands among fellow professionals who voted for him. The Egyptian has been key to Liverpool’s push for silverware, combining consistent goal scoring with leadership on the pitch.
For Liverpool, Salah’s continued form is expected to play a decisive role in their pursuit of more trophies this season. His achievement also strengthens his legacy as one of the greatest players to feature in the Premier League era.
With three PFA Player of the Season titles to his name, Salah now stands alone in history, underlining his impact and consistency at the highest level of the game.
