Moi Airport hit hard by aviation workers strike

Aviation workers stranded hundreds of passengers in Mombasa for the better part of yesterday following the strike.
Majority of those delayed were business people destined for meetings in Nairobi.
The passengers blamed the Moi International airport officials for not issuing an official statement about the issue on time.
Benard Ayeko who was also to departure with the morning flight to Nairobi said he was angered at how the attendants were not giving them any meaningful communication.
Ayeko said his departure to Nairobi was at 11.00am .
A spot check showed passengers who were stranded at the airport waiting bay.
A taxi operator at Moi international airport said the strike had affected their business because no planes were landing at the airport.
