Mombasa Israel Visa Agent Charged For Defrauding Kenyans Who Wanted Travel By Issuing Fake Israel Travel VISA
Mombasa-based Israel Country Visa agent Teddy Ndemo was arrested and Charged In Mombasa for defrauding Kenyans of over Ksh 148,000 who wanted to travel to Israel country
The accused Teddy Ndemo appearing before Mombasa chief magistrate Martha Mutuku denied the charges and was released on ksh 100,000 cash bail.
But the suspect will spend more days in the court cells after he refused to have his fingerprints taken by investigation officers while in port police custody when he was arrested.
According to a charge sheet on diverse dates between the 2nd of June and to 8th of October The accused defrauded Tembo Mwangombe with a sum of Kenya shillings 148,000 falsely pretending to process a tourist visa to grant entry to the republic of Israel.
Ndemo was also facing charges for refusing to permit the police officer who arrested him to take his fingerprints.
According to a police report Ndemo while working for an Israeli travel agency dubbed those who wanted to travel to Israel to make payments to his account issuing them fake Visas.
“Want the suspect to remain in custody since more victims conned by the suspect are still recording statements for the prosecution to press more charges against the suspect”
The accused is being represented by Mombasa lawyer Mark Asembo
